I don’t know if the writer thought of this as poetry, but it is in my book – except that it probably wouldn’t work in a book. I didn’t get the ‘twist’ until I was shown it by the movement of the camera, so it could easily be overlooked on the page, unless you signposted it with a clue in the title. So maybe this is a new kind of poetry?

It’s a very clever ad, but Lopez Murphy is a neo-liberal. I refuse to think of neo-liberals as having a soul of any kind. The text of this ad is the usual neo-liberal, nationalist nonsense, proto-fascist ‘great little country’ junk. A clever trick does not make something beautiful.

I don’t know anything about Argentine politics so I can’t comment on the specific case, but I take your point that the style should have substance to back it up. Although Auden and Shakespeare might disagree- ‘truest poetry is the most feigning’ etc.
